SecureMetric Technology was invited to join the delegation on a Trade Mission to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia from 17 to 23 July led by the Malaysia Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI) including agencies under MOSTI, namely MDeC, MIMOS, CyberSecurity Malaysia & SIRIM.
At a business forum held in Hanoi, Vietnam, a total of 10 memorandum of understanding (MOU) were signed to forge collaborative efforts and promote Malaysian technologies to the developing markets in Vietnam. The exchange of MOU documents were witnessed by, Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, minister of science, technology and innovation Malaysia and Dr. Le Doan Hop, Minister of Information and Communications Vietnam.

SecureMetric is proud to sign 2 very important MoUs with its partners in Vietnam. The first MoU is with VietUnion which is the operator for Vietnam’s biggest online payment system, Payoo. The MoU is for the purpose of initiating the partnership establishment of setting up a Centralized Authentication And Payment Centre in Vietnam. SecureMetric is committed to use its technical expertise to support a joint development efforts with VietUnion as to achieve the mission of building up a foundation of safe and convenient transaction system, which acts as a single authentication and payment platform for various markets: e-Commerce, e-Bill, e-Government (e-Tax), and e-Banking in Vietnam.

The second MoU is with FPT Systems, Vietnam’s biggest system integrator. The MoU is for the purpose of establishing the Annual Support Agreement for SecureMetric’s Certificate Authority (CA) System in Vietnam. SecureMetric is committed to use its technical expertise and project experience to continually support FPT in maintaining its CA backend system, monitoring its CA operations and project implementation in Vietnam. As FPT’s partner in the entire FPT CA’s system, SecureMetric will be committing a significant amount of resources to make this partnership a success. The MoU with FPT has since been converted into a commercial agreement.
