On the 1st October 2012, SecureMetric, represented by its Regional Sales Director, Chin Wan went to Bagan, Myanmar to present SecureToken ST3 to a panel of 10 judges; each from the 10 ASEAN countries. The presentation about ST3 talks about the history of SecureMetric and its raise to be the regions leader in the PKI market. By the time Chin Wan presented the history about ST3, all the judges’ eyes were lit up. They were very impressed with the achievement that ST has accomplished.
They couldn’t believe what they were hearing when they heard that ST3 managed to outperform its other well established competitor from Safenet and RSA! With more than 1.5 million sold worldwide, ST3 has also managed to help SecureMetric capture markets in this region with ease. Some of the new customers are from Myanmar and Philippines. One of the winning points of ST3 which helped it to win Gold in the ASEAN ICT Awards was that ST3 has helped banks and governments in the ASEAN region achieve their eGovernment objective. Chin Wan told the 2 success stories of ST3 being used in both governments and banks in Malaysia and Vietnam.
During the presentation, Chin Wan also noted a few other contestant which also won the ASEAN ICT Awards in other categories that uses ST3. It was such a delight to know that ST3 has not only helped SecureMetric won the award; but ST3 has also helped other organisations won the same award in other category.
The ASEAN ICT Award was presented to SecureMetric’s CEO, Edward Law during the award ceremony in Cebu, Philippines. The award came with a trophy and a certificate recognising ST3 as the best token for PKI implementation. SecureMetric hope to achieve the same result next year with its other products.
This award has not only given SecureMetric a good recognition for its hard work in the PKI industry, it has also helped give confidence to SecureMetric’s customer that ST3 is of top quality and second to none!
